Important Ocean Lakes 2026–2027 Amenity Update

Ocean Lakes is currently making a major investment in its Sandy Harbor aquatic facilities.

The original indoor pool, original outdoor pool, and mini golf closed September 8, 2026 while construction is underway. The separate Sandy Harbor Water Park remains a seasonal amenity, with operations subject to its normal schedule and construction conditions.

Ocean Lakes plans to have the new facilities ready for Memorial Day weekend 2027. Plans include a larger indoor aquatic facility with body slides and a children's splash pool, an expanded Game Center, food service, and a new outdoor resort-style pool with cabanas.

That's something I'd keep in the listing for now so guests booking fall 2026, winter, or spring 2027 know exactly what to expect.

Explore Myrtle Beach & the Grand Strand

When you're ready to venture outside Ocean Lakes, you're in a convenient location for enjoying many of the Myrtle Beach area's most popular attractions.

Myrtle Beach Boardwalk & SkyWheel

Take a walk along the 1.2-mile Myrtle Beach Boardwalk & Promenade, with ocean views, restaurants, shops, arcades, and the iconic SkyWheel towering over the beachfront.

Broadway at the Beach

Spend the day exploring one of Myrtle Beach's best-known entertainment districts, packed with shopping, restaurants, attractions, and family entertainment.

Ripley's Aquarium

A favorite Myrtle Beach attraction for families and a great option when you need a break from the sun.

The Market Common

Enjoy restaurants, shopping, entertainment, green space, and a relaxed evening stroll at this popular Myrtle Beach destination.

Brookgreen Gardens

Head south to explore beautiful gardens, sculpture, Lowcountry history, and natural scenery.

Myrtle Beach State Park

Enjoy another beautiful stretch of South Carolina coastline along with fishing, nature, walking trails, and outdoor recreation.

And that's only the beginning. The Grand Strand is also home to championship golf courses, miniature golf, fishing charters, live entertainment, outlet shopping, watersports, seafood restaurants, and countless family attractions.
